Canyon is a German bicycle brand headquartered in Koblenz. Its roots reach back to 1985, when Roman and Franc Arnold founded the trading company "Radsport Arnold". The first complete bikes under the Canyon name appeared in 1996, and the company was renamed Canyon Bicycles GmbH in 2001/2002. Development and engineering still happen in Koblenz to this day.
Canyon is regarded as a pioneer of the direct-to-consumer model: its bikes are sold directly, without the traditional bike-shop middleman. That approach pours the saved budget into materials, components and design, earning multiple honours including the iF Product Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award and the European Design Award.
Just how serious Canyon is about performance shows in the pro peloton: for the 2026 season, teams including Alpecin-Deceuninck (with Mathieu van der Poel and Jasper Philipsen), Movistar Team and the women's WorldTeam CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto ride Canyon. Canyon by purpose: finding the right model
Canyon builds the right bike for every riding style, and we carry the key disciplines in our rental fleet. If you're after pure speed, the Aeroad CF SL 8 with its deep aero tube profiles is the most wind-cheating choice for sprints and fast group rides. When the road tilts upward, the lightweight Ultimate CF SL 7 with its race geometry comes into its own, the climber and all-rounder among Canyon's road bikes.
For long distances and a more relaxed riding position, turn to the Endurace family: the alloy Endurace 7 RB or the carbon Endurace CF SL 8 Di2, both with a more upright geometry and extra tyre clearance. If you're heading inland, take the rugged Grizl 8 gravel bike with its generous tyre clearance. And for the mountains there's the XC hardtail Exceed CF 5 and the versatile trail full-suspension Neuron 5.
Canyon on Mallorca's roads and trails
Mallorca is a cycling paradise, and Canyon is a perfect match for it. The flat coastal roads around the Bay of Alcudia are made for pushing the pace on the Aeroad. If you're tackling the legendary climbs of the Tramuntana mountains, Sa Calobra, Coll dels Reis, the Lluc Monastery, the lightweight Ultimate is your best companion. The best season for it is February to May and October to November, when the climate is mild and the roads are quieter.
Off the tarmac, the Grizl opens the door to gravel tracks, remote fincas and hidden olive groves in the island's interior, while the Exceed and Neuron unlock the mountain trails. Yes. We deliver and collect island-wide (a flat 60 EUR), or you can pick up your Canyon for free at our station in Can Picafort (Ctra. Arta-Alcudia 103, 07458). We're open daily from 10am to 6pm.
