Factor stands for a small, very particular category in cycling: British-designed, built in its own carbon factory in Taiwan, uncompromisingly tuned for performance. When you picture a Factor, you probably picture this exact bike: the Ostro VAM, Factor's aero all-rounder. The build shown here runs Shimano Ultegra Di2 – electronic, 2×12-speed, on Black Inc aero wheels. A TeXtreme carbon frame from around 900 g together with the aero shaping makes a sub-7 kg build realistic: fast on the flat, light on the climbs. What makes Factor so special
Factor is a British brand based at the Hethel Engineering Centre in Norfolk – the same site known from the motorsport and F1 engineering world around Lotus. Its roots trace back to Beru F1 Systems, which caused a stir in 2007 with the radical Factor001. In 2016 Rob Gitelis, a former pro and carbon-manufacturing expert, officially launched the brand. Notably, Factor produces in its own carbon factory in Taiwan and runs Black Inc as an in-house brand for wheels, cockpits and components – vertically integrated from fibre layup to finished bike.
Factor is positioned firmly in the high-end boutique performance segment, with the ambition of building some of the fastest UCI-legal road bikes in the world. The current range runs from the aero all-rounder Ostro VAM (new generation, around 250 g lighter, sub-7 kg possible) through the aero climbing bike O2 VAM and the dedicated aero racer One to gravel models like the Ostro Gravel and the race-gravel Aluto introduced in 2025. On price, Factor sits clearly at the top end – the Ostro VAM frameset is around 5,499 USD, complete bikes roughly between 9,199 and 11,499 USD depending on spec.
In the pro ranks, Factor equips the women's team Human Powered Health in 2026 among others, and supports the US team Modern Adventure Pro Cycling. On the men's WorldTour the brand is deliberately no longer represented in 2026. For completeness: since 2025 there have been Chinese stakes in the company; the precise ownership structure is reported inconsistently in the trade press, so we treat it as not conclusively confirmed.

From when can I rent a Factor? +
From 15 January 2027. That's when the Factor Ostro VAM and Factor Monza Di2 join our rental fleet. We already take reservations for dates from then – book early to be sure of your preferred model and size.
Which Factor models do you have? +
Two: the Factor Ostro VAM (aero-lightweight flagship, from €85/day) and the Factor Monza Di2 (aerodynamic all-rounder, from €75/day). Both with electronic Shimano Ultegra Di2 and Black Inc carbon wheels.
Can I reserve now? +
Yes. Even though the bikes are rentable from 15 January 2027, you can request your dates today via the bike page or the contact form. The booking is non-binding – we confirm manually and send you the payment link.
What if my trip is before 15 January 2027? +
We won't leave you empty-handed: our premium Canyons are available right away – Aeroad CF SL 8, Ultimate CF SL 7 and Endurace CF SL 8 Di2, all with carbon frames and electronic shifting. Factor joins from 15 January 2027.
What does a premium road bike cost per day with you? +
Our bikes start from 25 €/day (the cheapest weekly price divided by seven). From seven days the cheaper weekly rate kicks in automatically. You'll find the specific daily and weekly prices per model on the pricing page and on each bike detail page.
Do I need a deposit, and can I cancel free of charge? +
No, we take no deposit. And cancellation is always free with us. Your booking is a no-obligation enquiry – we confirm manually and then send you the payment link.
Will the bike be fitted to my body measurements? +
Yes, precise fitting is included. If you like, send us your body measurements in advance and we'll deliver the bike ready-fitted. Insurance and a puncture kit are also included, with a helmet optional for 10 €.
Where do I get the bike – delivery or collection? +
You have the choice: island-wide delivery and collection for 60 €, or free collection at our station in Can Picafort (Ctra. Artà-Alcúdia 103, 07458). We're open Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.
